The new “Contemporary” continues the established tradition and represents the poems and prose of our days and the Pushkin era. Works of different genres and styles are published, and therefore each reader will find something for himself and appreciate this book. Among the works of contemporaries of Pushkin, included in this publication, a special place is occupied by an excerpt from the memoirs of I.I. Pushchin, his “friend of the priceless”, who tells about the lyceum years of the great poet, who largely determined his character and creative aspirations.
