Based on the distant 1837, the young poet M. Yu. Lermontov, having written “The Death of the Poet”, struck the entire reading capital with his talent and, rightfully, became the literary heir to A. S. Pushkin. The Contemporary Collection, dedicated to Lermontov, accepts the baton at the previous series of collections released for the anniversary of Pushkin. The concept of the collection is preserved, but with some changes. Now it contains poems and the prose of our authors, as well as Lermontov’s works - not the most famous, but significant and bright.
