Convenities. Kuzmin M.A.

Mikhail Alekseevich Kuzmin (1872, or, according to his personal mythology, 1875-1936) - a recognized Russian poet, one of the most unusual figures of the Russian Silver Age. The critical heritage of Kuzmin is an example of the “blog” of its time: reviews on current events substantiating key theoretical provisions. Reading Cuzmin criticism teaches to justify aesthetic principles, not taking them to either the impressions of individual works, or to abstract conclusions. The author’s collection “Convenities” (1923), which mainly included theatrical criticism and reviews of literary life, is equipped with detailed comments that reconstruct the contexts of Kuzmin's thoughts.
