Convention "On the Rights of the Child"
For the purposes of this Convention, the child is every human being until the age of 18, if, according to the law applicable to this child, he does not reach the age of majority earlier. The participating states respect and ensure all the rights provided for by this Convention, for every child who are within their jurisdiction, without any discrimination, regardless of the race, color, gender, language, religion, political or other beliefs, national, ethnic or social origin, property status, state of health and the birth of the child, his parents or legal guardians or any other circumstances. The participating states take all the necessary measures to ensure the protection of the child from all forms of discrimination or punishment based on the status, activity, expressed views or beliefs of the child, parents of the child, legal guardians or other family members.
