The proposed publication introduces the reader to the features and problems of mass theory of mass service - one of the important new areas of applied mathematics, using methods of probability theory and mathematical statistics. The book was written by B.V. Gnedenko in 1973. Since then, the theory of mass service has advanced far ahead, the spectrum of its tasks has seriously expanded. In this sense, a real brochure does not reflect the entire content of this science. But the advantages of the book did not decrease from this.
