resisting the conceptualist emasculation of sensual, practicing what Susan Sontag called - as opposed to the interpretation - the erotic of art, the texts of Korveleva at the same time create a state of emergency, explicating the hierarchical nature of all discourse, the problems of the socialization of a woman and the violence of writing over the poet. Elena Kostyleva is the author of the books “Easy to get” (Colonna Publications, 2000), “Lydia” (Colonna Publications, 2009), “Day” (Word Order, 2019). Poems, articles and reviews were published in the magazines “Babylon”, “Mitin magazine”, “New literary review”, “Session”, “Logos”, in dozens of popular publications. The books were included in the short lines of the All-Russian Debut Award (2000) and the Awards of Andrei Bely (2009).
The poems of E. Kostyleva are translated into English, French, Italian, Greek, Chinese, included in several anthologies. Lives in St. Petersburg.
