Crime and Punishment. Dostoevsky F.M.
At first glance, “Crime and Punishment” is a novel about a double murder, committed by a poor student because of money. It is difficult to find a plot easier, but the intellectual and mental shock that this text produces is indistinguishable.
Dostoevsky placed in the narrative all the topical topics of his time - poverty, alcoholism, spirituality, dangerous nihilistic ideas spread among young people and even prostitution.
Having rejoiced in the process of writing his skill in creating multifaceted characters, the author simultaneously illuminated the complex issues of morality for centuries ahead: does a person have the right to stop any moral law, so that later the Savior of the weak and the comforter of the weak; Can he first love himself, and only then, becoming strong, to love his neighbor?
