Crimean spring is a unique event in the history of mankind. The peninsula was not annexed by Russia, there was no coup or uprising there. Just 95 percent of its population spoke for reuniting with its historical homeland. Even the vast majority of functionaries of the “Party of Regions” that ruled at that time in the Crimea chose to become members of the United Russia party. 80 percent of officers of the SBU parts stationed in Crimea also took the oath of allegiance to the Russian Federation.
