A spectacular indoor perennial plant up to 25 cm by the height of the Acantic family. It forms a bush with a diameter of up to 20 cm. The stems are erect, branched. The leaves are 7-12 cm long, smooth, like varnished, opposite or mutated. The flowers are red-orange, two-liability, collected in dense spike-shaped inflorescences up to 15 cm long. 

Blooms for a long time, from spring to autumn. False inflorescences are regularly trimmed so that flowering resumes. It prefers a bright place protected from direct sunlight. The temperature of the content is indoor, about 20 ° C, in winter about 18 ° C. With a sharp temperature difference, the leaves can fall. Watering during rest is limited, it is produced by soft water at room temperature. They feed the crossed crosses once every 2-3 weeks in spring and summer, in winter-once a month with floral fertilizer. The plant must often be irrigated, preventing water from entering the leaves and flowers, air humidity should be at least 50 - 60 %. They transplant annually in the spring in a more spacious pot in a well -drained soil, rich in organic substances. 

Before sowing, the seeds are soaked in warm water (no more than 3 hours), then sown to the surface of a slightly moistened peat mixture. The sowing container is covered with glass or film and placed in a warm (not lower than 24 ° C) light place. Seeds germinate from 3 weeks to 2.5 months.
