“Crossroads”-the third novel of the unfinished tetralogy “In the mountains of the Tigrovs” by the famous Far Eastern writer Ivan Ulyanovich Basargin (1930-1976). “All my life I was preparing to write these novels, all my life I created my future images in mentally in crumbs and grains... All this lived in me, born in me,” the author noted.
His third novel received the title of "Resting", reflecting the era of the great shocks of the beginning of the 20th century, a turning point in wars and revolutions. In the novel, the fate of a common man from the people with the fate of the country is closely intertwined, the legends of the indigenous peoples of the region (Nanai, Udege, Tazes), beliefs, legends, and signs occupy a special place. But the most significant part of the work is occupied by paintings by the First World and Civil Wars, which gave rise to a sense of terrible outfit in people.
