Crossroads of fate. Demin M.
Tramp, Maidannik thief, camp, adventurer, artist, journalist Mikhail Demin, aka Georgy Trifonov-brother of Yuri Trifonov. In prison, Demin had to hide his true origin. An old friend composed him with a “correct” biography: mother is a prostitute, father is a professional thief. After the liberation, Mikhail Demin began to be printed first in Siberian, then in the central press, released four collections of poems and a book of prose. In 1968, he left for Paris and became a knight writer. In the West, he published an autobiographical trilogy of “thieves”, “taiga tramp”, “red -haired devil”.
his pen also belongs to the dilogy proposed to you today in the unique genre of the Crossroads of Fate. The first part of “... and five bottles of vodka”, its heroes are criminals operating in the south of Ukraine, and the second is “the secrets of the Siberian diamonds”, in it we will plunge into the cruel world of diamond mines and taiga swamps of Yakutia. Previously, these books were published in Russia in small circulations only in the 1990s and are almost not known to the modern reader. And Dyomin wrote very exciting, with the understanding of not only the criminal world, but also the nature and ethnography of the peoples of the North.
