Cultural and historical dimension of modern science

The collection of articles has developed as a result of a series of seminars devoted to the philosophical problems of modern science. To a certain extent, these seminars restore the traditions of seminars of the 1970s-1980s, during which scientists and philosophers discussed the acute methodological problems of scientific work. In order to realize the real problems of the modern scientific worldview, the philosophers of science must take a step towards scientists today, which the authors of the collection tried to implement. The focus of their attention is real problems that concern modern scientists: reproducibility of experimental knowledge, collective subject in scientific activity, environmental fundamentalness of natural scientific knowledge, as well as the problems of “human size” and “cultural universals”.
