Cup of life. Bunin I.A.
Ivan Alekseevich Bunin - the first Russian laureate of the Nobel Prize in literature, a poet and prose writer, who became a classic during his lifetime. Its small short stories were compared with poems in prose, and it was not by chance that the novels were often printed in Bunin’s collections with poetry.
“The poetic language should approach the simplicity and naturalness of colloquial speech,” Bunin wrote, “a prose syllable should be characterized by the musicality and flexibility of the verse.” In addition, many Bunin stories are inherent in the lyrical-philosophical sound, which determines his poetic creativity. Looking at the patterns of fate, the depths of memory and past, the pictures of nature, in the bright and dark sides of the human soul, Bunin is trying to express in the work the fragile charm and beauty of life, to catch the strange, endless fluidity of time, to touch the secrets of death and immortality.
This edition presents Bunin's stories written in different years.
