The shrub is low, 2 m high, with a beautiful, rounded crown. The shoots are reddish, naked or finely pubescent, unimportant, with an annual increase of 30-40 cm. The fruits are rulous berries, up to 0.8 cm (from orange-yellow and purple-brown to almost black), sweet and sour, edible. Used to organize hedges, single and group landings.
