The publication includes the novels of A. B. Mariengof “Cynics” and “Shaved Man”. For the first time published abroad, in the Berlin publishing house Petropolis (“Cynics” - in 1928, the “shaved man” in 1930), in Soviet Russia, the works of Mariengof were recognized as “anti -social”. For many years, his name “fell” from the literary process. The opportunity to read the novel “Cynics” opened to Russian readers only in 1988, the “shaved man” was first published in Russia in 1991. In 1991, based on the novel “Cynics”, Dmitry Meskhiev made the film. Today, no one has a doubt that the creative heritage of Mariengof, like Platonov, Pilnyak, Zamyatin, is a classic of the 20th century.
