For several months, the north of Sweden flooded the endless rain. A huge dam saved from the flood, built with the calculation of the worst. But no one assumed that the “worst” would turn out to be a childhood babble compared to what happened. And once the Luleo river stumbled the concrete obstacle that seemed insurmountable and rushed, sweeping away everything in its path, destroying the houses, laying out the cars, grabbing the all kinds of human belongings... and the people themselves. The gray wall of water rushes on the heroes of the novel: Saam, who had long exchanged traditional life for the city; a pilot of a helicopter considering suicide; A young woman who had just learned that she was expecting a child; a working power plant, who decided that he would finally show all these women, which is a real man; A lonely artist-amateur, for whom the river has always been a joy... The mosaic of the tragic (and sometimes slightly comic) stories develops into a large drama, which will forever change not only the landscape, but also the fate of each of the heroes.
