Roman-trilogy Ivan Sergeyevich Rukavishnikov (1877-1930) is the history of three generations of the Nizhny Novgorod merchant family, from which the author himself came out.

The novel was practically not published in Soviet times. In connection with the persecution of literature that goes beyond the scope of socialist realism, he was removed from the libraries, but interest in it did not weaken. With significant historical and social value, the originality of language and style, it is still a bibliographic rarity.
