1872. Seventeen -year -old Selina escapes from Paris and goes to America. She finds a shelter in the convent of New Orleans. The search for work leads her to the institution “Lion Blacks”, which is owned by the mysterious young man Sebastian. Seline seems to be all tests in the past. But on the eve of the annual carnival, the city is excited by brutal killings. When in the "lion's halls" they find the body of a girl from the monastery, suspicions fall on Selina.
