Early novel “Days in Burm” by the English writer George Orwell, most famous for his unsurpassed anti -utopias “1984” and “Castard”, in many ways autobiographical: the author lived in this country and served a colonial police officer. Orwell is merciless in the description of the life of British subjects in a colonized Burma - "a mediocre, barren world, a world, where a thought itself is under censorship." For all the difference in the characters and addictions of the British-colonists, one is united by one-an unshakable sense of superiority over the natives, which they despise at best.
