The captain of the repair ship Claire Kovalik makes the last flight, after which it will be dismissed and, at best, unenviable stationery work. When it is time to go on the return trip, she catches a weak distress signal and decides to conduct an investigation. Repairmen are waiting for a shocking discovery: they find Aurora, a luxurious space liner that disappeared in the first flight on the solar system twenty years ago. The corpses are not the worst thing that awaits them on board the liner - they are facing the same terrible fate that befell the Aurora passengers, and Claire is the only one who can still try to save the rest.
