In the fishing village of Portkarrow, excellent times came: hundreds of people are flowing to try the healing waters of the local spring, which are supposedly able to heal everything from warts to asthma. The new hostess, Miss Emily Pride, inheriting these lands, decides to understand the “holiness” of the source and stop the illegal profit on people's faith in healing. Local residents, not at all delighted by such a turn of affairs, anonymously pester the elderly lady with threats. And a week later, there is a murder on the island...
