Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov - the younger contemporary of Pushkin and the second after him in Russian poetry of the 19th century. In 2014, the 200th anniversary of the poet's birth was celebrated. Fate was allowed to live only 26 years and only 13 years in order to go down in the history of world literature. Lermontov’s creative evolution was swift. The romantic hero of his youthful lyrics challenges the whole world: “I was born that the whole world is the viewer of the celebration or my death..?”, In later poems, the poet speaks on behalf of his generation. Having overcome the romantic rhetoric, summarizing the most important discoveries of his time, Lermontov essentially summed up the golden eyelid of Russian poetry and discovered new horizons for it. The present publication included poems of 1828–1841. And the poems “Mtsyri”, “Demon”, “Song about the merchant Kalashnikov”.
