Demonic in the artistic culture of the Silver Age. Popova L.V.

In this monograph, the first analysis of the “demonic” concept was carried out on the material of the Russian artistic culture of the Silver Age, the origins of the “demonic” are shown, sociocultural factors were studied that contribute to the formation of ideas about the “demonic”, and the place of “demonic” in the culture of the Russian Renaissance is comprehended. “Demonic” is considered as a generalizing cultural films category, which includes three main aspects: sacred, aesthetic and ethical, closely interconnected and forming syncretic unity, close in meaning to dionyshy (in the Nietzschean sense).
