Dental Greek-Latin terminology
The training manual presents dental terminology of Greco-Latin origin in the field of therapeutic, surgical, orthopedic dentistry, maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics. It consists of 11 topics, each of which includes control of the initial level of knowledge, an overview of anatomical, hystological and clinical terminology, training exercises, a lexical minimum and control tasks with situational tasks. The thematic structure of the manual with the systematization of the lexical and semantic groups of terms characterizing the semantic field of each topic corresponds to the sequence of studying dental disciplines at a medical university.
The publication provides illustrations that explain the material presented and allow it to better learn it, a grammatical reference book , the Latin-Russian and Russian-Latin dictionaries, including the etymology of individual terms, and the glossary of clinical terminelines. The manual is pursuing a professional task of the terminological training and literacy of dentists, therefore is intended as students of dental faculties of medical universities studying the disciplines “Latin language” (basic part), “Dental terminology” (variable part), as well as residents, graduate students and doctors of dental specialties.
