Dialogs with Socrates. Plato

Plato (c. 428-348 BC)-an ancient Greek identity philosopher, creator of his own philosophical school, student of Socrates. According to legend, on the day of the meeting with Plato Socrates, he saw a prophetic dream: a white swan pressed against his chest and then took off so high that he almost disappeared from sight. Swan as a symbol of the god Apollo clarifies the meaning of sleep: no matter how much you teach your student, in the most important thing you will learn from him. The friendship of the old and young philosophers lasted to the very execution of Socrates in 399 BC. “Dialogues” are unique works that are included in the so -called “Platonic corps” of works that have survived to the present day.

this publication compiled four dialogs, in which Socrates acts as the main character. In Creton, he explains that it is impossible to commit injustice not only in relation to people, but also in relation to the laws. In the "Feast" he believes that in love we must see not only emotions, but also the cultural principle. And in “Fedra”, continuing his thought, he says that it is love that improves the immortal soul of a person and arouses the best qualities and aspirations in it. In Fedon, Socrates reveals his idea that one needs to respect a sense of justice of another, without imposing his own. All texts are equipped with detailed comments.
