Dictionary of portable, figurative and symbolic uses of words in psalter. Klimenko L.P.

The dictionary presents vocabulary, which is used in the psalter figuratively, in a figurative, symbolic meaning. The need for such a dictionary is due to the peculiarity of the text of Psalter: the psalms constituting it, especially the prophetic, Messianic content, depicting the historically reliable events of the life of King David, prophesy about future events of New Testament time. The living conditions of the Old Testament prophets often forced them not directly, but with a hint, symbolically talk about the events of the Holy History and the coming coming to the land of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. All interpretations of vocabulary units are based on the existing exegetical Orthodox literature, and are confirmed by numerous quotes from different interpreters. The dictionary is addressed to students of spiritual educational institutions, philologists studying the spiritual culture of the Russian Middle Ages, as well as all pious readers.
