The work presents a systemic description of Japanese gestures: the main corps of kinem in the form of vocabulary articles is given with a description of physical execution, verbal support, tender and age differences, origin, typical situations of use, etc. The connection of the usuals of Japanese gestures with their compliance with their compliance characteristics to the norms of Japanese culture. The non-verbal means of communication of the Japanese and Russians are compared, Russian-Japanese intercultural kinestic gaps were identified. Much attention was paid to Japanese phraseology associated with the non -verbal behavior of the Japanese.

The first edition of the Dictionary of the Language of Japanese Gestures was published in 2014 at the publishing house "Eastern Book". The monograph was created on the basis of the dissertation work of the author (intercultural kinestic gaps in the communication of Russians and Japanese: Dis. Ph.D. Filol. Sciences. M., 2004) with a significant reduction in its theoretical part and the addition of the vocabulary. This publication comes out with some corrections and additions.
