40,000 words and phrases. The dictionary consists of two parts: English-Russian and Russian-English, and contains about 40,000 words and phrases, most common in modern Russian and English. Technical, conversational, scientific and specialized vocabulary is widely represented. For the convenience of the reader and the exclusion of errors in the pronunciation in vocabulary articles of both parts, a transcription adopted according to the international phonetic system is presented. The dictionary is intended for translators, teachers and students of various universities, and will also be useful to persons who independently study English.
