Dinka

Valentina Aleksandrovna Oseeva (1902-1969)-Russian children's writer, laureate of the State Prize. She was born in Kyiv, after graduating from high school she studied at the acting faculty at the Kiev Institute, but did not graduate from Moscow because of moving to Moscow. The first book of Oseeva “Red Cat” was published in 1940. The autobiographical story “Dinka” (1959) was dedicated to her mother and sister Angela. The story takes place in Russia on the eve of the revolution. The eight -year -old waybind Dinka is the youngest of the three sisters. Dink's father, a professional revolutionary, hiding with surveillance, does not live with his family, mother and her sister are engaged in raising her daughters. The story talks about growing up a little girl. Together with her friends, she is involved in events that will not only change her character, but also affect the fate of the whole country.
