Discourse genres of the academic environment: traditional and new. Khutyz I.P.

The monograph is devoted to the two most important genres of the academic environment - an academic article and a lecture. The author’s focus is typical features of these genres, as well as new characteristics that appeared under the influence of Anglo -American communication models and transformations in the value landmarks of modern societies. Based on the interdisciplinary approach and analysis of a diverse empirical corps, the author determines the place of the academic article in the modern academic context, illustrates the main parameters of its design, while considering the sociocultural specificity of this genre. Lecture discourse was studied as an actual genre of the academic sphere, which has an obvious strategic orientation and transformed under the influence of new trends in the academic environment. The addresses are addressed to lizard specialists, senior students, undergraduates and graduate students of the respective areas, as well as to everyone who is interested in the processes of modern communication as a whole and the procedures for constructing the genres of academic discourse in particular.
