Discourses of Vladimir Sorokin. Uffelmann D.
Vladimir Sorokin is one of the most striking representatives of Russian postmodernism, the texts of which often cause a violent reader and critical reaction due to the abundance of obscene vocabulary, scenes of sex and violence. In his monograph, the German Russianman Dirk Uffelmann for the first time analyzes all the basic works of Vladimir Sorokin - from the “line” and “Roman” to the “snowstorm” and “telluria”.
The author shows how, drawing plots from Russian classics of the 19th century and socialist realism, turning to the popular culture and nationalist rhetoric, Sorokin remains faithful to the installation of the splitting of other people's discourse. The author comprehensively approaches the evolution of Sorokin’s letter - once “a restrained young man” who struck the circle of conceptualists “unheard of abuse of Soviet aesthetic norms”, later a scandalous author whose books were thrown into a foam toilet Prochrekhlev youth, and now - a living classic who is constantly called constantly called as a seer. Dirk Uffelmann - Professor of the Institute of Slavicism of Gisen University named after Eustus Libikh.
