On the train, in which the Colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Gurov returned from a business trip, the passenger Oleg Dymov arranged a drunken brawl. Gurov had to intervene and restore order. The conductor explained that this behavior is caused by the passenger grief: the same composition follows the coffin with the body of his deceased wife. The next morning it turned out that Dymov disappeared, and traces of struggle and blood remained in his compartment. Realizing that a crime occurred on the train, Gurov appeals to the police department of one of the stations along the route.
