Dizziness. Zebald V.
The novel consists of four parts, in the first - a short biography of the stand in which he appears under the real name Bayle, and not a literary pseudonym. The second part consists of travel notes of two travels to the Alps of an unnamed storyteller, whose biography is similar to the biography of Zebald himself, and one episode from the life of Casanova. The third part describes the difficult period in the life of Kafka, which the author calls "Doctor K." The fourth part is a nostalgic story about the storyteller’s trip to his native German village in the wilderness, in which he has not been for several decades. “Dizziness” is the first part of the trilogy, the continuation is “emigrants” and “Saturn rings.”
