Having withstood several publications and has long become a classic of the historical and biographical genre, the book of the writer Yuri Loshchits talks about the outstanding commander and state figure of Ancient Rus', the noble prince Dmitry Ivanovich Donskoy (1350-1389). The narrative is built by the author on the basis of documentary material, with the involvement of literary and other monuments of the era. The book recreated the portraits of Dmitry's associates in the fight against the Horde - his cousin Prince Vladimir Andreevich Brave, Dmitry Bobrov Volynsky, Metropolitan Alexei, the “prayer book of the Russian land” of the Monk Sergius of Radonezh and other contemporaries of the great Moscow prince.
