1943. The Red Army is developing an offensive. The country's industry works at the limit. A significant part of military products is produced by the Kuznetsk Metallurgical Plant. It is there that Abwehr is preparing a serious provocation. The Germans' plans become known to Soviet counterintelligence. Senior Lieutenant Smersh Semyon Goryunov is sent to the plant.
