Dr. Aibolit

Korney Chukovsky wrote the fabulous story “Dr. Aibolit”, thoroughly processing the work “Traveling of Dr. Dutlittla” by the English writer Gew Lofinging. Dr. Aibolit, who, for the sake of saving animals, goes on a dangerous journey and enters into the fight against pirates led by Evil Barmaley, is always ready to help. For this, both adults and young readers fell in love. The book included the first two parts of the fairy tale (“Journey to the Land of Monkeys” and “Penta and Sea Pirates”) with drawings by the artist Viktor Alexandrovich Chizhikov.

In 1980, these illustrations were awarded the honorary diploma of H.K. Andersen.
