Dynastic marriages in Rus' XII-XIII centuries. Tolochko P.
The book examines the theme of dynastic marriages in Rus' of the XII-XIII centuries, which has not yet received monographic lighting in either domestic or foreign historiography. Meanwhile, it is very important. And not only from the point of view of multilicular family-rod ties of the Rurikovich dynasty. More significant here is the clarification of their political content, a place in the evolution of ancient Russian statehood, as well as in the system of international relations. The available data on princely marriages convince that they were the most important element of all-Russian unity: family-Rod and state. Despite the political fragmentation and growth of the significance of the specific capitals, the main subject of interdinative marriage was Kyiv. In the international public consciousness, it was he who continued to be the central focus of Rus'.
