Pavel Pavlovich Muratov (1881, Bobrov - 1950, Waterford) - Russian writer of the first half of the 20th century, whose book “Notes of Italy” is an outstanding literary monument to the beautiful country, its art and the charm of discoveries for several generations of readers. However, Muratov’s fiction is no less outstanding, still not fully discovered and presented in the wrong form as Muratov conceived.

Muratov’s only novel “Egeria” was restored by the unrealized in connection with the arrest and subsequent emigration to the 1921 publication, for which the famous artist V. A. Favorsky prepared several engravings. Also, the first volume of the works included three comedies and selected translations.
