The history of the “Civil Defense” and Yegor Letov with great difficulty lends itself to a detailed and objective description, and even more so in such a small book. Letov tangled traces for so long that the study of his phenomenon becomes equally exciting and difficult to do. The present is intertwined with the past, the future, which seems to be not, also does not give an answer, quotes torn from context, seem to be strangers, as a result there is a trace of the plane, which had long and irrevocably flew into unknown distances. But we must start with something, while many eyewitnesses of those events are still alive, relatively healthy, and are in a sober mind and solid memory. And there, perhaps, there will be the next publication, more detailed and rich. Excessive rash and frequent direct speech, dashing retrosprication and paradoxical associations, amazing addictions and subjective assessments are attached as they are.
