This book is dedicated to Egypt. It is a historical narrative and adheres to a strict chronology of events. The book is based on the results of the latest archaeological research and sheds light on cultural, social processes and religious beliefs, under the influence of which for several thousand years the formation, development and heyday of Egyptian civilization have passed. Starting from the first settlements of the Neolithic era on the banks of the Nile, this book tells of the times of the origin of the Egyptian state (pre -dodic era).

After the unification of the two kingdoms, the ancient pharaohs began to perpetuate their lives and deeds, erecting monumental stone monuments. The most impressive of them are the pyramids of the ancient kingdom, the architectural evolution of which can be traced from the ancient pyramid of Joser to the giant pyramids of Giza, and then in the necropolises of Abusir and Sakkara.

In the ancient kingdom, next to the tomb of the ruler were sculptures and private tombs. In the first transition period of the Middle Kingdom, they gained new expressive architectural forms. Much attention in the book is paid to the pharaohs of the New Kingdom, whose military campaigns turned Egypt into one of the most powerful empires of the Middle East. Thanks to the beautiful collection of photographs, the reader has the opportunity to better consider works of Egyptian art in all splendor.

This book also discusses the last centuries of the era of the pharaohs up to the Greek period, including the years of the establishment of Roman control over Egypt. It was at this time that the culture of the pharaohs came into contact, and in some cases merged with the culture of Hellas and Rome.
