Ekaterina Mikhailovna Khludenyova (1889-1978) - the old man revered among the people. Her image is fundamentally different from the usual idea of the jeopardian ascetic. A girl of simple peasant origin from the Ryazan captain managed to get a brilliant metropolitan education, which allowed her to educate children in representatives of high society in pre-revolutionary St. Petersburg. After 1918, Ekaterina Mikhailovna returned to the Ryazan province.
She lived most of her life in the village of Berezniki, Sapozhkovsky district. There she accepted everyone who needed her help. The old man was revered and turned to her for advice and comfort, not only ordinary peasants, but also educated people, scientists, and representatives of the authorities.
