The issues of the relationship of the main parameter that determine the effectiveness of the blade processing of the metal are considered - the temperature in the cutting zone with the consumption of electricity of the main movement of the lathe. The author’s methodology for analyzing the cutting process and equipment as management objects is described, examples using this methodology are resolved. The original structure of the automatic temperature control system in the cutting zone was considered, its modeling was made, static and dynamic properties were investigated.
