The book is an independent part of the course of mathematical physics adjacent to the book “Elements of Applied Mathematics” by the same authors, but independent of it. The main feature is the concentration of the presentation around physical tasks, the withdrawal of mathematical methods from the physical essence of the task, the more complete tracking of analogies between mathematics and physics, the presence of physical meaning in mathematical solution. Special attention is paid to the kinetic equation, the equation of diffusion, the laws of preservation, and ruptures.
