Emergency epidemiology

The training manual presents materials that allow students to acquire knowledge of the main issues of emergency epidemiology and the ability to plan preventive and anti -epidemic measures in emergency situations. The issues of the organizational structure of the unified state system of preventing and eliminating emergency situations, interagency interaction in the implementation of anti -epidemic measures, and features of the epidemic process of infectious diseases in emergency situations are considered. The basic principles of epidemiological supervision, planning, organization and conduct of sanitary and anti-epidemic measures are set out. The concepts of biological weapons and the fundamentals of biological protection of the population are given.

The manual presents information material not set out in epidemiology textbooks, but necessary for students in the development of the section of emergency epidemiology.

The publication is intended for students of medical universities of the Russian Federation for the acquisition of skills and competencies for organizing, conducting and monitoring anti -epidemic measures in emergency situations.
