The textbook corresponds to the curriculum for disaster medicine for students of medical universities. It presents modern information about the organization of medical support of the population in emergency situations of peace and wartime. Some topics discusses the issues that are devoted to: the organizational structure and tasks of the Unified State System for the Prevention and Extrolling of Emergencies and the All -Russian Disaster Medicine Service; organizations of medical, evacuation, sanitary-hygienic and anti-epidemic measures in emergency situations; medical and medical and psychological protection of the population and rescuers; medical supply of institutions and formations of the disaster medicine service; the provision of medical care to the population in armed conflicts and local wars.

A textbook can be used by teachers of medical universities to prepare educational and methodological literature and students for independent work.
