Boris Chernykh (1937-2012), a descendant of the Amur Cossacks, the famous Far Eastern prose writer and publicist, was born in one of the capitals of the Gulag - the city of Svobodnoy. He entered the literature in Irkutsk in the early sixties of the last century along with A. Vampilov and V. Rasputin. And in 1982 he was convicted of “anti -Soviet agitation among young people” and served for five years in the infamous Perm camps. The recommendation to the Union of Writers, already upon release of freedom, was given by Fazil Iskander, and the first thin book of stories, published in the Library of the magazine "Spark", immediately brought B. Black all -Russian fame. In Yaroslavl, the writer created the famous newspaper of the Literary Province “The Fascinated Wanderer”, and in Blagoveshchensk - “Russian Coast”. The book “Erka Zhuro, or a case from my life” includes the best prose of the author - his stories and essays.
