Escape: Tale. Kantor B.D.
Vladimir Krysanov - a successful graduate of Moscow State University Geophysicist - grew up in a deaf Siberian village, where since childhood he already felt all the “charms” of the inside of the Soviet system. After Vladimir refuses to cooperate with the KGB, his scientific career is in question, and the youngest specialist actually refer to the development of oil fields to Siberia.
Not wanting to endure the arbitrariness in the country, Krysanov decides to break out socialist "concentration camp" in the free world. But it is impossible to leave the USSR legally, and he decides to escape to the west - through Karelia to Finland, and from there to Sweden. Miraculously avoiding meetings with border guards, Vladimir unnoticed crosses the Finnish border, and then on foot, then hitchhiking - safely reaches Stockholm.
