Essays presents some nodal moments associated with the history of Orthodoxy. As a background, it is told about the Old Testament from the point of view of "science, history, religion." The meaning of the commandments of the bliss of the Savior in the light of New Testament teaching is revealed. The history of the emergence of the most famous heresies, which appeared during the persecution of the first centuries according to the Nativity of Christ, is observed. The role and significance of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Time of Troubles is considered: it is shown how the protection of Orthodoxy and statehood from liars and rebels took place, as well as the heroic feat of the patriarchs of Job and Hermogenes, as well as other hierarchs and clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church. The history of the development of the sacrament of baptism, dogmatic meaning and all practical features of its execution with their explanations on the basis of evidence of the Holy Scripture and Tradition are also considered.
