Eternal person. Chesterton G.K.
Gilbert Kit Chesteron is one of the brightest English writers of the first half of the 20th century. His novels, stories and essays became classic, while his detective stories about Brown’s father enjoy special love. However, among the numerous stencts of Chesterton, the first place in fame, of course, occupies an “eternal person” - an exciting journey into the past, an attempt to look at our civilization, and in particular at Christianity, an impartial look. Like the other books of Chesterton, the “Eternal Man” is written by an elegant syllable and is replete with paradoxes and subtle humor, but the topics and questions that the author raises in it is quite serious - fundamental issues of love and faith.
, in addition to the “Eternal Man” treatise, two essays were included in the present publication: about St. Francis of the Assis and St. Thomas Aquinas. All texts are presented in the translations of Natalia Leonidovna Traumberg and are accompanied by detailed comments.
