Ethnic elites in Russian national policy

The monograph examines the policy of Russian/Soviet central and local authorities regarding the elites of peoples as part of Russia. The degree of involvement of different -ethnic social upper reaches in the social and political life of the state is traced in detail, and methods for the formation of mutual intelligent complimentation are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the reasons and the process of gradual strengthening of ethnic elites by the end of the Soviet period. The study expands the ideas about the features and laws of domestic policy for a long period. This allows us to determine the features of ethnic interaction inherent in our country and the causes of prolonged stability in interethnic relations.
